Engineering

Engineering is our key process. At Aurrenak we specialize in projects with a heavy engineering load, to which we apply all of our experience and knowledge.

This commitment to maximizing our engineering was the driving force behind Aurrenak’s growth during the 90s and our aim is to ensure that it is the basis for strengthening Aurrenak in the future.

We have more than 30 designers, a great team where both experienced and new engineers work together. Our aim is to establish extensive knowledge of the specifications of each customer plus the various production processes, and at the same time being highly proficient with the software we use.

We are focused on increasing competitiveness during the design phase of projects and we are continually immersed in parameter assignment and standardisation of design processes to reduce leadtime.

We work with the leading design software on the market, and for each project we choose the software that best suits our customer:

  • Pro-Engineer
  • Unigraphics – NX

Simulations

Simulations provide knowledge and provide us with a better understanding of our customers’ processes as well as to share know-how with them.

We conduct casting and solidification simulations in all technologies: iron, aluminium gravity casting, low pressure aluminium, high pressure aluminium.

Whenever necessary we have the help of our Corporation’s Technology Centre: Koniker

Since 2013, we have been using corebox sand filling simulation programs. This allows us to compare the designs created based on our solid experience within this field.

We are currently using Arena Flow.
