In a publication the Provincial Council of Alava reviews the trajectory and milestones of 41 firms that work within the territory

Thanks to its collaboration with Loramendi they have achieved what would otherwise have been impossible individually. 100% of Porsche engines are manufactured exclusively using machines and tools from both companies. Aurrenak was set up as a cooperative to produce tooling for the casting industry and some years later it became part of the Mondragon Corporation. Currently sold in 25 countries to more than 25 automotive manufacturers and more than 250 million pieces have been manufactured using their tooling. Their major customers include names as renowned as Volkswagen Group, BMW, Honda, Nissan, Fagor group, Caterpillar, Volvo, General Motors, Nemak or FAW, among many others.
To reach this privileged position they have overcome years of crisis, thanks to enormous flexibility and, above all, the professionalism and commitment of its cooperative members. They chose to specialize in complex parts, backed by many hours of engineering and a comprehensive service: they are able to carry out all phases of a project from its design up to the production of a high quality final piece. They have participated in numerous national and European technology development projects (innovation) in collaboration with various cooperatives, universities and technology centres;
This compels them to deal with frequent modifications that have to be managed successfully, as well as to have extensive knowledge and presence with different customers and processes around the world.
To date the good atmosphere and working conditions, coupled with the professionalism and commitment of the people have allowed them to come up to standard with customers and to respond to a market with increasingly tighter deadlines and lower prices.
Its greatest pride is in how a company of these characteristics, located in Vitoria, can have such a strong international presence and sell worldwide."
